Colorado-specific provider and drug pricing information collected for the first time since passage of SB24-080

DENVER - Colorado achieved a major milestone last month in collecting pricing information from health insurance carriers following the passage of SB24-080 in 2024. This makes Colorado the first state in the country to successfully collect state-specific federal Transparency in Coverage data.

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis celebrated new reports listing Colorado as one of the top ten states to work in the U.S and among the best to launch a new business. 

DENVER - According to a report of Census data, Colorado has some of the lowest rates of poverty in the country. Colorado’s share of poverty in the population is 8.2% and is among the lowest states. 

“Colorado has the 5th lowest poverty rate of any state in the nation. Our work to create good-paying jobs, attract businesses, improve access to quality education, and grow an economy that works for everyone is driving down poverty and increasing opportunities for all,” said Governor Jared Polis.

DENVER – Today, Governor Jared Polis released a new report from the Office of State Planning and Budgeting (OSPB) showing the severe impacts of President Trump’s reckless tariff policies on Colorado families, businesses, and the state’s economy.

DURANGO – Fort Lewis College and the Office of Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera partnered to host a special early screening of the Lt. Governor’s new documentary, A Colorado for All: A Legacy of Accessibility. The film, which premiered in late July as part of Colorado’s 250/150 celebration, explores the state’s rich history of disability rights and the leaders who paved the way for greater inclusion. 

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis made two appointments to the 9th Judicial District Court. Susan M. Ryan's appointment is created by the retirement of the Honorable John F. Neiley and is effective October 8, 2025. Alexander R. Haynes's appointment is created by the retirement of the Honorable Denise K. Lynch and is effective November 29, 2025.

Colorado issues Public Health Order 25-01 and establishes a standing order so Co

PARK COUNTY, Colo. — Today, Governor Polis and Colorado Parks and Wildlife celebrated the opening of Collard Ranch State Wildlife Area (SWA) to public hunting and angling on August 29. The 1,860-acre property was acquired by CPW in March 2024 for increased hunting, angling and wildlife viewing opportunities along Tarryall Creek in Park County. 

DENVER - Today, Governor Jared Polis and House Majority Leader Monica Duran called out the Trump administration’s unlawful attempt to withhold federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funds from states, including Colorado, unless they agree to participate in the administration’s incoherent immigration policies. 

DENVER—More than 1.5 million Coloradans opted to buy a Keep Colorado Wild Pass during its second year of being on sale, which generated $41 million to support Colorado state parks, local search and rescue volunteers and the Colorado Avalanche Information Center.
