    DENVER - State of Colorado government offices in the Denver and surrounding suburban counties will open to the public at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29th, due to extreme weather conditions. There will be a 2-hour delay in start times for state employees to arrive at work safely.
  • Polis Administration Funding to Enhance Wildlife Mitigation Features in Highway Projects

    CONIFER -  The Polis administration announced new funding for wildlife mitigation projects across Colorado. Gov. Polis signed a new bipartisan law in Summit County this summer SB22-151, the Safe Passage for Colorado Wildlife and Motorists, that authorizes general funds to be used for wildlife mitigation projects. Under the Polis administration, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), and Colorado Wildlife and Transportation Alliance (CWTA) have worked together to identify seven projects that will provide safe road crossings for wildlife connectivity and reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions.

    DENVER -  Today, Governor  Polis appointed Anthony N. Baca to fill a vacancy on the La Plata County Court in the 6th Judicial District. The vacancy was created by the resignation of the Honorable Anne Woods and is effective immediately.

    DENVER - Today, Governor Polis visited warming centers and shelters providing critical support to people in Colorado during the extreme cold weather this week. The Polis administration acted swiftly and thoroughly to prepare for the extreme weather, keep people safe, and save lives, and the state has provided around the clock support to local governments and municipalities. Governor Polis expressed his appreciation to the hardworking volunteers, staff, and National Guard service members supporting the warming centers and shelters, and delivered gifts to children at the sites to ensure they had a small gift to open this holiday season.
