DENVER - Today, Governor Polis took Executive action to update and supplement previous executive action to build more housing now. In May, Governor Polis took initial executive action to increase housing supply and break down barriers to more housing people can afford.

DENVER - Following a competitive application process, Colorado’s Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) announces the recipients of a new grant program for the plugging and abandonment of marginal wells. Thirty operators are receiving reimbursement grants that will lead to the plugging of 142 wells. The grant is made possible by operator fees and federal funds. 

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis and the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) awarded 11 nonprofit agencies with funding from the 2025 State Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP). These grants help places of worship and nonprofits at high risk of terrorist attack due to ideology, beliefs, religion, or mission make security enhancements to keep Coloradans safe. 

PAGOSA SPRINGS - Today, Governor Polis verbally declared a disaster emergency to support response efforts for the Oak Fire in Pagosa Springs, Archuleta County, Colorado. The Governor has also authorized use of the National Guard as needed to support the incident. 

Despite tremendous federal obstacles, Colorado continues to move forward in developing its network through its DCFC Plazas Grant program 
 

New Jewish Policy Index names Colorado as a policy leader

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis celebrated the Anti-Defamation League’s recognition of Colorado as a policy leader in the effort to combat antisemitism. In a Colorado For All everyone should be able to live, love, and worship how they want. Colorado is one of nine states being recognized as a leader in combatting antisemitism.
