DENVER - Today, Governor Polis appointed Daniel M. St. John II to the 8th Judicial District Court. The appointment fills the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Stephen J. Jouard and is effective immediately. 

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis announced that Dr. Angie Paccione is moving on from her position as Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE). Dr. Paccione has served in this role since the beginning of the Polis administration in 2019, and her last day will be January 9, 2026. Governor Polis will make an announcement on the next Executive Director prior to Dr. Paccione’s final day on January 9. DENVER - Today, the Colorado Broadband Office (CBO), under the Governor’s Office of Information Technology (OIT), announced that the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has approved Colorado’s Final Proposal under the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) program, unlocking $420.6 million in federal funding from the Infrastructure, Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) for the state’s broadband infrastructure.

DENVER - Today, pursuant to her authority as acting Governor under the Colorado Constitution, Article IV, § 13, the Lieutenant Governor appointed Sabrina D. James to the Kiowa County Court in the 15th Judicial District. The vacancy is occasioned by the resignation of the Honorable Pamela E. Johnston and is effective immediately.
