DENVER - Today, Gov. Polis discussed the state’s response to COVID-19 (coronavirus), and launched joint efforts to raise relief funds and volunteer efforts to address this public health crisis. The Governor announced the Help Colorado Now effort where Coloradans can donate or volunteer, as well as the Colorado COVID Relief Fund, which has already raised nearly $3 million to help Coloradans impacted by the coronavirus. DENVER - Governor Polis signed an executive order and House Bill 20-1359 (HB20-1359) administratively, allowing Colorado’s political parties to amend certain rules and procedures governing the conduct of their assemblies and conventions and to limit in-person contact during nominating assemblies and conventions.
DENVER, March 16, 2020: The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued a public health order to close bars, restaurants, gyms, theaters, and casinos to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, effective at 8:00 a.m. on March 17 for the duration of 30 days. The public health order will help the state slow and limit the spread of COVID-19 in Colorado communities.

DENVER - Today, the Office of State Planning and Budgeting released the March economic forecast showing the significant economic impact of COVID-19. The overall economic impact is difficult to anticipate and depends on both the extent to which the epidemic can be slowed or contained and the effectiveness of federal fiscal and monetary policy interventions.

DENVER, March 15, 2020: To best protect public health, the Colorado Department of Health and Environment is recommending that Coloradans follow the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance released today. The guidance states that the CDC “recommends that for the next eight weeks, organizers (whether groups or individuals) cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States.”
DENVER, March 15, 2020: The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) confirmed 30 new positive cases in Colorado, based on overnight test results. That brings the total number of positive cases to date to 131. Following CDC, all presumptive positive cases are now considered positive. CDC is no longer performing confirmatory testing.
