SB25-024 - Judicial Officers, sponsored by Senators Dylan Roberts and Lisa Frizell, and Representatives Michael Carter and Matt Soper. This bill is bipartisan.
DENVER — Governor Polis visited Opportunity Now grantee CrossPurpose to see firsthand how Opportunity Now investments are strengthening Colorado’s workforce and creating new career pathways for Coloradans. In 2024, CrossPurpose received $1.86 million in Opportunity Now grants to support initiatives that are equipping individuals with professional certifications and pre-apprenticeships that expand access to in-demand, good-paying jobs.
DENVER - Today, Governor Polis joined members of the Denver community to break ground on new housing that includes 190 new affordable homes as well as a health clinic focused on serving American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) individuals and families.
STATEWIDE - Colorado is 7th in the nation for energy efficiency according to the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) 2025 State Energy Efficiency Scorecard, which cited Colorado’s policies and programs that advance smart energy use and save Coloradans money.
DENVER — Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) recently opened a new round of grant funding to provide local Colorado communities with resources to reduce human-bear conflicts through the Human-Bear Conflict Reduction Community Grant Program. The application deadline is May 30, 2025.
ARVADA – Today, Governor Polis met with industry and education leaders from around the Denver region to discuss much needed career pathway solutions and begin developing workforce plans to ensure that Colorado workers develop the skills employers need. Hosted by the Talent Innovation Division within the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) and the Arvada Chamber of Commerce, the summit is one of seven Opportunity Now Regional Talent Summits being held across the state.
