    DENVER -  This evening, Governor Polis learned that he was exposed to an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19. Governor Polis took a test this evening and tested negative. 

    Per CDC and CDPHE guidance, the Governor has begun quarantine, will be closely monitored, and will be re-tested in the coming days.

Governor Primavera welcomed an announcement that Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs has been selected as one of the six finalists for the permanent home of U.S. Space Command. Following this important announcement, federal, state, and local officials along with key leaders praised the decision and the benefits offered by keeping U.S. Space Command in Colorado Springs.
  • Governor Polis Takes Action in Response to COVID-19

    DENVER -  Governor Polis took action today in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

    Governor Polis signed an Executive Order authorizing the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to order hospitals and freestanding emergency departments to transfer or cease the admission of patients in order to allow them to respond to the surging number of COVID-19 cases.

    The State continues to urge all Coloradans do three key things:
