DENVER — Yesterday, Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera joined leaders from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Denver, elected officials, and community members at the Denver Botanic Gardens to celebrate the 114th National Day of Taiwan. The event highlighted Taiwan’s rich culture, dynamic democracy, and leadership in innovation, while reinforcing the growing economic, educational, and cultural ties between Taiwan and the state of Colorado.
“I was honored to celebrate Taiwan’s 114th National Day,” said Lt. Governor Primavera. “It was a moment to recognize Taiwan’s innovation, leadership, and resilience, as well as the strong bonds they share with Colorado. We look forward to deepening our partnership and celebrating our continued collaboration.”
The event featured musical performances by the Denver Young Artists Orchestra and the Colorado Symphony Quartet, remarks from Lt. Governor Primavera, Director General Debby Huang, and the Friendship Medal of Diplomacy conferring ceremony.
Colorado and Taiwan’s partnership continues to grow through trade, student and research exchange programs, and collaboration in critical and emerging technologies. Last year, Lt. Governor Primavera led a business and trade mission to Taiwan, experiencing firsthand the innovation, culture, and warmth of the Taiwanese people — a visit that further strengthened Colorado’s commitment to partnership and mutual prosperity.
