New Jewish Policy Index names Colorado as a policy leader

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis celebrated the Anti-Defamation League’s recognition of Colorado as a policy leader in the effort to combat antisemitism. In a Colorado For All everyone should be able to live, love, and worship how they want. Colorado is one of nine states being recognized as a leader in combatting antisemitism.

“Across the nation and the world we have seen a concerning and unacceptable rise in antisemitism and antisemitic terror attacks. Such hate and violence has no place in our Colorado For All and that is why Colorado is leading the way to combat these trends and protect Coloradans’ right to worship how you want, making Colorado safer. I am thrilled that the Anti-Defamation League has recognized Colorado as a national leader in fighting antisemetism, but there is much more to do,” said Colorado Governor Jared Polis.

Governor Polis and his administration have taken significant steps to support faith-based communities and places of worship that face heightened threats, including antisemitism. Governor Polis has awarded millions to at-risk and threatened organizations through Colorado’s Nonprofit Security Grant Initiative, which supports physical security enhancements and other measures for nonprofit organizations at high risk of terrorist attack due to ideology, beliefs, or mission. Following the June 1st Boulder terrorist attack Governor Polis announced additional funds to support safety improvements to keep Coloradans safe.
