DENVER - Today, pursuant to her authority as acting Governor under the Colorado Constitution, Article IV, § 13, the Lieutenant Governor appointed Sabrina D. James to the Kiowa County Court in the 15th Judicial District. The vacancy is occasioned by the resignation of the Honorable Pamela E. Johnston and is effective immediately.
Ms. James is a teacher at Eads High School and an Adjunct Professor at Lamar Community College, positions she has held since 2008. Previously, she was a teacher at Karval School District (2003-2008); Adjunct Instructor at Lamar Community College (2002-2003); and Interim teacher at Rocky Ford High School (2002). Ms. James earned her B.A. and M.A. from Colorado State University Pueblo in 2002 and 2012, respectively.
