DENVER - Today, Governor Polis appointed Justin P. Fay to the 6th Judicial District Court. This vacancy is created by the retirement of the Honorable Suzanne F. Carlson and is effective October 1, 2025.
Mr. Fay is an Archuleta County Court Judge in the 6th Judicial District, a position he has held since 2016. His docket consists of criminal and civil matters. Mr. Fay is also a District Court Magistrate in Pagosa Springs (2019-present); Municipal Court Judge in Pagosa Springs (2019-present); and solo practitioner at the Law Office of Justin P. Fay, LLC (2017-present). Previously, he was a Deputy District Attorney in the 6th Judicial District (2006-2016). Mr. Fay earned his B.S. from Colorado State University in 2003 and his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2005.
